What Happens in a Session

A typical kids, teens, or family class may include:

Welcome

Introductions, sharing gratitude or affirmations, arriving in our practice calmly and with kindness.

Focus

Classes are based around a theme or topic, everything from ‘Feeling Confident’ to special event sessions and anything in between.

Yoga Postures

Tieing in with the topic or focusing on a particular area of the physical body, can include partner poses & acro yoga. Easy participation for all.

Activities & Challenges

Topic focussed creative projects, discovery play, breath practice games, individual challenge games and more.

Group Games

Co-operation games focussed not on ‘winning’ but on contributing. Feeling valued and appreciated as part of the team.

Mindfulness

Visualisation, mindful practices (walking, eating, etc) tips and tricks to calm the busy or anxious mind.

Relaxation

Guided rest with positive statements to provide space for ‘letting go’ of muscle & mind tension.

Take Homes

Ideas for the week ahead, suggestions for getting to know ourselves, our habits and how we might address negative thinking.
